RAHANA Prisoners’ Rights Unit – 60 days after she was arrested and her detention in solitary started, Shiva Nazar Ahari told her family in a short phone call that her interrogation continues and she is under pressure to accept the charges. Nazar Ahari has been moved to a new cage-like solitary cell so small that she cannot even move her legs or arms.
According to CHRR, Nazar Ahari was arrested on December 20th, 2009, along with 2 other CHRR members, Koohyar Gudarzi and Saeed Ha’eri. This was the second arrest for Nazari Ahari who had been arrested also last summer but was released on $200,000 bail 100 days later. Since the June presidential election, she has spent 160 days in prison, 100 of which were in solitary.
