Abdolreza Tajik on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown in Evin after Cellmate’s Execution

In a short phone call, Abdolreza Tajik told his family that his interrogation had ended & he remains in limbo in Evin Prison.

RAHANA Prisoners’ Rights Unit – Abdolreza Tajik, journalist, was first arrested shortly after the June presidential election. He was released on bail a few months latert only to be arrested again on Ashura. This time he has been accused of having ties to the Nobel Laureate Shirin Ebadi and her rights organization,  CDHR.
According to a report by Neday Sabz Azadi, Tajik is suffering from mental distress. Tajik & Hossein Nouraninejad were both cellmates of Arash Rahmanipoor, who was executed recently. The execution of their 20-year-old cellmate has had a devastating effect on Tajik who is on the verge of a nervous breakdown. Nouraninejad who shared his cell with Rahmanipoor for 2 months is also reported to be in a frail emotional state.
