Ali-Mohammad Eslampour Editor in Chief of Navay-e-Vaght Weekly Arrested

Ali-Mohammad Eslampour was summoned to the 9th branch of the Revolutionary court where Judge Najjar ordered his arrest.

RAHANA – Judge Najjar ordered Eslampour’s arrest based on a letter by Intelligence Ministry’s Kermanshah branch, which contained confessions of 2 recent detainees about the ownership of a weblog. Eslampour is a known journalist with a long history of professional work in Kermanshah province. The leader of the Islamic Republic has said in the past the confessions of a detainee cannot be used against other detainees.
Eslampour has denied any ties to the weblog in question and rejected all the charges brought up against him.
Navay-e-Vaght weekly endorsed Mousavi during the June presidential election and has been repeatedly summoned to court by provincial authorities.
